                        DRUNK OF THE WEEK

Xavi at the police station

At last, one of the Catalan desperado has been caught by the police in San Francisco...

Thanksgiving chronicles

It seems that several of us enjoyed some privacy since everybody was dispatched throughout the country, from New York City to San Francisco via Miami, New Orleans, LA, Seattle and... Bloomington.

Yet, there's still some material about SF since 11 of us gathered -more or less- over there. Who? Rik, Didi, Eva, Kati, Tuula, The Catalan Clan + Ari (who's actually asking for the Catalan nationality -we'll let you know if he finally got it), Stephanie and I.

So here the story goes: #$&%@^ (censored)

Finally, the whole thing turned very interesting in terms of critical thinking and organizational behaviour in a cross-cultural context impregnated with Freudian concepts of life (in hell) and death... Yeah man, it's all about data processing after all and we surely don't have identical frames of mind after all: singing in the rain (for an unspecified period) or paying for less pain? (what do you think about the rhyme btw?) Perceptive guesswork or guide-based planning? Sheep or black sheep? (huh?) To be or not to be? As usual, the answer is somewhere in the middle -but not in Catalona this time- or maybe there's no answer because it's a question of personality. Isn't that a cool punchline? -yet, I can scent very clearly some dirty mean Catalan ploy aimed at myself, innocent victim... But if it can make their lives more colorful, then I'm glad to help. Let us all hold each other's hands and pray for their quest of a better life in peace and love...

By the way, SF is a great city: the Golden Gate bridge, Alcatraz, the Coit Tower, Lombard Street, the Castro, Mission Dolores, Union Square, the Moma, the Exploratorium, Fisherman's Wharf etc etc are all places that you'll find pretty soon in my photo gallery.

While the 11 of us were walking up and down the hills, others enjoyed shopping and watching TV in their respective host families: Ines in Seattle and Yvonne in Connecticut (instead of NYC finally). Also Stefan enjoyed surviving in Bloomington (thanks to Ines' TV), Laurent had a great time with Rob during their honeymoon in NYC and Varun looked like a zombie after he drove back from Atlanta for 12 hours.
